Overview
Senior Revenue Analyst
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Revenue Analyst is responsible for the accuracy of revenue allocation and proper revenue recognition in accordance with SSP and current accounting literature. This position is also responsible for ensuring any inconsistencies with the deferred revenue reconciliation (Revenue Balance Report) are reviewed and addressed in a timely manner to ensure proper revenue recognition. The Senior Revenue Analyst will also assist with any process changes due to new accounting literature. The role will also encompass maintaining relationships with Sales, Legal, Sales Finance, Deal Desk, and other internal Revenue and Finance teams in terms of managing day-to-day activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Establish and maintain a strong relationship with the Booking Team and liaise with Sales, Deal Desk and Legal to ensure contracts are booked in accordance with the Company’s Revenue Recognition Policy.
- Review Domestic pricing supplements for accuracy and revenue recognition implications prior to contract signature and booking.
- Review the Revenue Recognition and Order to Cash SOX documents and ensure compliance.
- Revise any margin calculators to support executed customer agreements, as well as appropriate revenue recognition in accordance with current accounting literature.
- Review signed installation letters and update revenue milestones accordingly, submitting notifications to RevOps to initiate invoicing for service and subscription deliverables.
- Regularly review the Out of Balance report to ensure accuracy of planned invoicing and revenue milestones and timely resolution of all out of balance situations.
- Maintain Revenue Balance Report throughout the quarter to prepare monthly journal entries for new acceptances received and quarterly entires for recurring subscription and service deliverables.
- Investigate contracts where revenue has been recognized but not yet invoiced to accurately prepare the Unbilled AR/Deferred revenue gross up calculation.
- Prepare the quarterly Unbilled AR/Deferred revenue account reconciliations and provide explanations for any significant balance fluxes for the AR/Revenue reporting package
- Assist with review of Revenue Exception Requests submitted by Professional Services.
- Develop a strong working relationship with and liaise with the Company’s external auditors on revenue related requests.
- Recommend new processes and procedures that utilize technology, build efficiencies, and streamline workflows.
- Assist with special projects on an as needed basis, including clean-up project of Legacy Aesynt Sales Orders and revenue milestones that were previously in Syteline.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; in lieu of a bachelor’s degree candidates must have 5+ years’ experience in an accounting related role
- Strong Excel skills to include hands-on experience with advanced formulas, workbook development and management, VLOOKUP’s and pivot tables
- 2 years’ experience in a revenue accounting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Knowledge and application of multiple element and software revenue recognition guidance, including ASC 606, ASC 605-25 and ASC 985-605, a plus
- Ability to work under pressure in a detailed oriented environment and possess the desire to learn new and challenging skills.
- Organizational skills to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal, communications and critical thinking skills.

- Ability to work during peak hours to meet required deadlines.
