Compliance, Legal, Audit & Regulatory Technology (CLAR) provides technology support and development for Legal & Data Controls, Compliance Risk & Audit, Financial Crimes, Front Office and Second Line Risk, Employee Compliance, Regulator Regulations, Market Surveillance, and Regulator Change Management.
The Scrum Master will be an intricate part of the agile transformation for the ITV CLAR Tech EFT Technology team. Primary responsibilities include facilitating the learning and growth of one or more Agile teams in developing a lean-Agile mindset, improving practices and guiding them to more predictable delivery across project, non-project, or maintenance work. Day to day you will collaborate with business and technology teams, lead scrum teams in using Agile methodology and scrum practices, and coach the teams on scrum practices to achieve higher levels of agile maturity. In addition, you will ensure the Software Development Lifecycle, and various release processes are followed in accordance with Enterprise standards and best practices.
Position Responsibilities and Expected Outcomes:
$115,900.00 - $206,100.00 Annual

- Facilitate the scrum and/or Kanban process with cross functional impact that involve moderately complex products or product areas and associated teams where Commercial off the shelf or Third Party driven application/technology solutions are provided like RSA Archer
- Meet or Exceeds expectations towards Wells Fargo Scrum master employee goals; team /product area Agile OKRs
- Guide the agile teams to follow Agile and Scrum practices to actively promote prioritization, team readiness, and commitment for each Sprint (Scrum) or based on frequency of demand (Kanban)
- Optimize agile team velocity to identify improvement opportunities through, but not limited to, executed quarterly team assessment surveys to achieve higher levels of team performance.
- Deliver capabilities using agile practices while also following the Software Development Lifecycle, business process mapping, and various release processes as appropriate to ensure all risk, security, and development requirements are met.
- Partner with discipline managers about governance policies and adherence to corporate standards
- Collaborate with product owners, ECM and SDLC program, Dev members, Eng Leads to communicate delivery of work product from the team and escalate key risks and issues impeding scrum and/ or Kanban team effectiveness.
- Optimize team velocity, predictability, cycle time, churn etc. to identify improvement opportunities to achieve higher levels of team performance and team agility.
- Partner with discipline managers about governance policies and adherence to corporate standards
- Facilitate the Scrum and/or Kanban Agile ceremonies for the teams and applicable product area/s
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
- Interact with internal customers.
- Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Lead by example
- Guide the team and organization on how to leverage Agile/Scrum/Kanban practices and values to maximize the delivery of business value
- Work with the team to continuously improve by identifying areas of opportunity that will maximize the value delivered and happiness of the team
- Advocate for collaboration, transparency, inspection, and adaptation
- Anticipate and address potential or actual impediments to team delivery
- Partner with product owner and tech lead to ensure team focus is on delivering the items with highest business value
- Coach the team to self-organization
- Coach the team to maintain a high level of data integrity (i.e. in Jira, Agile Team Registry, etc.)
- Facilitate and/or participate in Scrum events (Daily Scrum, Product Scrum of Scrums, Sprint Review, Refinement, and Retrospective)
- Mentor and coach less experienced Scrum Masters
- Actively participate as a thought leader in the larger Scrum Master community
- Build & evolve a reporting strategy that enhances collaboration and gives leadership a view of overall initiative & team health
- Serve as a lean champion and coach teams and stakeholders on lean agile principles
- 6+ Financial services/Banking industry experience
- 4+ years of JIRA experience
- At least 1 year of hands-on JIRA Align experience.
- Must be scrum master certified, and a certified Agile Professional
- 4+ years of Agile Transformation experience, having worked on Agile teams transforming from a Program to Product centric model.
- 6+ years of experience conducting project meetings, presentations, and status reporting.
- 4+ years as SM/KL for projects with third party solution such as RSA Archer
- Ability to prepare and present senior level communications.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
- Ability to be flexible and adjust plans quickly to meet changing business needs.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.
- Strong critical thinking and analytic skills.
- Prior Wells Fargo Scrum Master experience (preferred)
