Tesla Infotainment Team is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motived hardware design engineer to design and develop Infotainment system and its peripheral devices for Tesla vehicles. As a Sr. Staff Engineer, you will be required to lead the entire hardware development cycle including system architecture, schematic design, layout review, lab/vehicle level validation, manufacturing test support, and field failure analysis. The successful candidate should demonstrate a proven ability to work independently as well as a part of a team and excellence in hardware designing and debugging.

• 
  System architecture for Infotainment system and its peripheral devices

• Lead bench/vehicle level validation activates with cross-functional teams.

• Conduct failure analysis and find root causes.

• Infotainment system hardware board bring up

• Own and create schematics, layout, and validation plan for Tesla Infotainment system.

• 
  BS Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent required, MS or

• Command line interface and scripting skills

• Lab skills: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, electronic load, spectrum analyzer

• Hands-on experience on EMI/EMC testing

• Familiarity with PCB stack-up, SMT process, In-circuit tests, and manufacturing tests.

• Experience with schematic capture and PCB physical design using Cadence Concept and Allegro or similar CAD tools

• Experience and knowledge with power conversion and delivery, power integrity

• Experience and knowledge with high-speed serial and memory interfaces including PCIe, USB, DDR4/5, Display Port, HDMI, and signal integrity design and measurement fundamentals for those interfaces.

• Design experience in x86/ARM based CPU and GPU

• Strong EE fundamentals including analog and digital design.

• Min. 10 years of high-volume consumer/automotive electronics system design experience
