What you'll do...

JOB SUMMARY

Sr. Training Developer will be a key position within the Production Team. This person will work closely with a group of writers throughout all phases of production.
Functional: Candidates must be organized, accurate, detail oriented, capable of working under pressure, able to adapt to changing requirements, responsive to established deadlines and an excellent team player. Accuracy is imperative and candidates must be able to accept and apply constructive feedback.

JOB DUTIES
  • Ability to perform the following tasks in QuarkXpress 8, dobe Acrobat Professional 7.0, Adobe Illustrator CS4, Adobe Photoshop CS4, and Microsoft Word without training or assistance.
  • Manage, and coordinate day-to-day production activities ensuring consistency and quality of all training materials
  • Attend kick-off meetings with content providers of appropriate deadlines for content submission
  • Design templates for all training materials, brochures, covers, presentation templates
  • Prioritized requests from the training department for desktop publishing services
  • Ensure pre-flignt electronic art files are ready for output for printers and satisfy print quality specifications
  • Conduct training for the training team on tools and processes to maintain consistency and quality of all training materials
  • Coordinate the translation of all training materials with the translation vendors
  • Maintain and initiate vendor relationships and negotiate cost estimate and deadlines
  • Actively participate in researching on new software for enhancements and in upgrading desktop publishing tools utilized by the training department
  • Participation in process improvement sessions throughout the production season.
  • Strong organizational skills as well as the ability to work autonomously in an environment with constantly changing priorities.
  • Provide weekly status report of current projects to the Production Manager.
  • Basic understanding of HTML and web development to be able to post the materials to the website.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelors Degree or 4 years experience in a related field.
  • Experience in design using Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Knowledge of desktop publishing software including QuarkXPress 8, Quark Copy Desk 8, Adobe Acrobat , and Microsoft Suite.Knowledge of electronic prepress and print production.
  • Knowledge of electronic prepress and print production.
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to satisfy deadlines.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

What you'll bring to the team...

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience.
Work Experience:
  • 5 years Minimum related work experience
  • Enrolled Agent, Certified Public Accountant or Attorney status (credentials regulated under Circular 230).
  • At least two years’ experience in course design and development of training programs and/or two years in tax return preparation, adult education or related field(s).
  • Solid knowledge of tax code and regulations. Experience with tax theory, concepts, principles, and techniques.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theory and learning styles.
  • Strong analytical skills, communication skills, and effective facilitation, and presentation skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, establish priorities, organize and plan work.
