Staff Accountant/ AP

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Manages all activities in the accounts payable function.

 Responsible for following procedures and systems for the AP department, including vendor

payments and employee expense reimbursements.

 Ensure proper authorization, accurate vendor billing and coding to support GAAP financials.

 Analyze invoices and expense reports for accuracy and eligibility for payment per company

policies, including the tracking of required Company purchase order data.

 Maintains and reconciles the purchasing / inventory accrual.

 Reviews and processes complex vendor invoices for timely payment.

 Ensure internal controls are adequately operating and followed, and all related documentation is

properly maintained, for AP and cash disbursement processes.

 Reconciles general ledger accounts as assigned and in accordance with Company policy.

 Identifies new vendors who may be subject to receipt of a 1099 and request W9 information

from vendors to maintain accurate up-to-date information inside QuickBooks™ Online software.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

 Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (or Finance, with significant Accounting hours).

 Between two to five (2-to-5) years of professional experience in an Accounting or Audit role.

 A clear understanding of technical accounting, accrual accounting, coding, journal entries.

 Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem solving skills.

 Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize tasks.

 Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

 Attention to accuracy and detail required.

 Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

 Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.

 Capable of working both independently and as a member of a collaborative team, as well as communicating with individuals at all levels of the company.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $53,625.76 - $64,581.56 per year
