Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain general ledger account reconciliations detecting irregularities and resolving discrepancies
• Prepare daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure an accurate cash balance
• Process electronic banking transactions - ACHs, wires, and intercompany transfers
• Process journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings in accordance with GAAP
• Maintain fixed assets ledger and record monthly depreciation
• Prepare monthly intercompany reconciliation
• Process internal monthly Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet for E-J and Joint Ventures
• Monthly and Quarterly payroll tax return preparation
• Prepare schedules and provide other information to auditors in connection with annual external audits (financial/401K/profit sharing)
• Perform ad hoc reports and assignments, quite often on short notice as requested by the Accounting Manager or CFO
• Protects organization by keeping information confidential

Some job duties are completed for ten companies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 2 – 3 years of related experience
• Strong advanced Excel skills
• Strong technical accounting acumen, strong time management, problem solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills in a demanding, multi-tasking environment
• Must have the ability to meet deadlines and handle various projects simultaneously
• Construction, electrical, or manufacturing experience a plus
• CPA a plus
