The duty of the staff pharmacist is the overall supervision of the pharmacy when the Pharmacist-In-Charge is not present. The staff pharmacist shall comply with all state and federal laws pertaining to the practice of pharmacy. The duties of the staff pharmacist include, but are not limited to the following: Filling and refilling prescription medication; Consulting with patients and/or prescribers on new and/or changed prescription medications as well as providing pharmacist care; Supervising supportive personnel; and any other duties pertaining to the everyday operations of the pharmacy.

Major Responsibilities

• Maintain highest level of customer relations.

• Direct activities of pharmacy assistant, technician, or interns.
• Keep abreast of new items, changing laws, regulations, and new pharmacy-related programs through participation in continuing education courses and reviewing pharmacy-related literature.
• Communicate with pharmacist-in-charge on progress and policies of pharmacy department.
• Carry out daily housekeeping, cleanliness and sanitation program as established within company guidelines.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism, consistent with company standards, in dress, personal appearance and grooming.
• Consult regularly with the pharmacist-in-charge for the purpose of providing quality patient care and maximizing pharmacy performance and controlling expenses for the pharmacy department as well as to insure consistency of policy between all pharmacy personnel.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
• As a pharmacist and employee, maintain good company loyalty, set a good example, and project a healthy positive attitude.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $58.00 - $60.00 per hour
