Job Summary:

The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for scheduling Health Unit Coordinators in the Health Unit Coordinator Department. This includes accountability for accurately entering new staff schedules, editing staff schedules as needed, entering timecard edits to reflect PTO, LOA, SICK, and other absences. Processes staff PTO requests and other change of hour requests per the department PTO/Swap of Hours Guideline. Accountable for assessing daily and future staffing needs of the department and ensuring that adequate clerical support is maintained in the inpatient care areas. Keeps department manager informed of attendance issues. As needed, works in the capacity of a Health Unit Coordinator when there are critical staffing shortages or coverage for units is needed during lunch breaks. Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

Personal computer experience/knowledge including word processing is required.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

High School diploma or equivalent is required.

SPECIAL SKILLS PREFERRED:

Knowledge of and ability to use Excel is preferred.
