Job description
Position OverviewUnder general direction to decontaminate, assemble, package, and sterilize procedural instrumentation and patient medical devices. To maintain, document, and distribute clean and sterile products per established infection control standards. To provide for and account for medical/surgical supplies to clinical areas. To deliver services that are responsive, timely, and accurate. Perform training of all new staff. Act as a liaison between technicians, customers, and supervisor. Our customers are identified as physicians, clinical units, ancillary areas, clinics, and UHS affiliates.
Position Requirements
Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
Previous SPD or Operating Room experience.
Inventory experience.
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
Satisfactory completion of certification course through IAHCSMM or CBSPD.
