- Coordinate materials and equipment to maintain cleanliness/sanitation of workstation and communicate problems/concerns to supervisor or kitchen management.
- This position requires considerable physical activity on a continuous basis throughout the shift including working in confined spaces and awkward positions, requiring standing, crouching, kneeling, stooping and reaching overhead.
- Ability to comprehend product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products.
- Maintain inventory of supplies needed to perform job function.
- Performs cleaning of kitchen equipment, including stoves, broilers, ovens, fryers, steam tables, and any other kitchen equipment assigned. Performs cleaning of floor mats and kitchen floors and walls on a nightly basis. As needed, performs deep cleaning/steam cleaning of these items.
- Moves, organizes, stores kitchen equipment in assigned locations and in an organized manner.
- Cleans, de-limes, sanitizes and performs appropriate preventive cleaning and maintenance measures on dish machines.
- Wash dish ware, flatware, pots and pans and other kitchen/service utensils as required/assigned.
- Performs special cleaning projects in other areas of the operation including bars, dining areas, and any other areas as assigned by leadership.
- Insure “Wet Floor” signs and other markers are used.
- Make sure kitchen workers have and use the proper equipment necessary for the job (gloves, goggles, chemicals, etc.).
- Ensure that all equipment functions properly.
- Maintain the levels and standards of cleanliness and safety set by Cactus Petes Casino and the Health Department.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to work alone and without close supervision.
