What: We are looking for caregivers to help care for clients (mainly fragile, ill, disabled, and/or elderly), one-on-one, in their homes.

When: Short shift, long shifts, morning shifts, afternoon shifts, night shifts, part-time hours or full-time hours. We currently have them all!

Where: Clients are located throughout the eastern Eastern Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Northern Portage and Northern Summit Counties but we are especially in need of caregivers for our clients in the Willoughby- Mentor- Painesville area

Pay: $15 per hour

Qualifications

• 18 years or age or older
• Valid driver's license and a vehicle
• Pass a criminal background check
• Covid-19 vaccination (encouraged but not required)
• Caregiving training &/or certifications, such as STNA, HHA, MA, PCA, etc. (preferred but not required)
• Willing to drive to client's homes up to 30 minutes away
• The ability to work independently
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability and willingness to complete online continuing education training classes
• Willingness to follow and enforce health and safety standards
• Reliability: Professionalism and discipline to arrive to clients' homes, on time, every time

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and hygiene assistance, such as showering, bathing, toileting, grooming, and dressing
• Remind clients to take prescribed medication and assist them with monitoring vitals
• Help with mobility around the house or outside the home (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Plan and prepare meals and/or assist with feeding
• Run errands for the client or accompany them to successfully do so
• Keep the clients engaged in favorite activities and conversation
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Light housekeeping
