Job summary
Inspects, verifies, and records inbound grocery products. Ensuring product and package quality. Assigning product locations according to the store inventory system. Placement of frozen, chill and dry goods products from receiving area to the sale floor and stocking departments. Maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Responsibilities
- Receiving shipments, check for damages and sort stock for distribution in the store.
- Monitor shelves and fill them when needed.
- Product fronting at shelf locations.
- Removing expired product items from sale and placing in designated area.
- Light cleaning and dusting of product shelves.
- Operating baler for proper disposal of cardboard.
- Cleaning bathrooms, sweep and wet mop grocery aisles, vacuum front store rugs.
Rate of Pay: $16.39 per hour plus $4.23 Health and Welfare
Requirements
- Strong communication skills.
- Well organized, able to multi task but also attentive to detail.
- Ability to think quick and resolve issues.
- Must be able to bend and lift heavy boxes.
- Ability to comply with all OSHA, DOD and DeCA safety regulations.
Full Time or Part Time Schedule
Tuesday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
Wednesday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
Thursday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
Saturday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
Conditions of Employment
- Must meet program eligibility requirements
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
- Must pass a government background so to acquire naval access badge.
