Who we are looking for

The Millennium Falcon may have been the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy, but it wasn’t going anywhere without a functioning hyperdrive. We need Chewbacca to take our revenue team to lightspeed - and beyond - by using galactic tools (or analysis and some critical thinking) to fine tune our customer experience, sales hyperdrive, and more.

We’re looking for a Strategic Development Representative to join our sales team. You’ll conduct research and help identify opportunities with existing customers who could benefit from additional Smarty products and services. If you like Sherlock Holmes detective work and analysis, keep reading!

What you need to get the job done

Requirements:

• Ability to learn about and understand API-based products
• Ability to identify opportunities with existing customers
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation
• Experience with CRM such as SalesForce or Hubspot
• Proficient in Google, Gmail, and other G Suite products and/or MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Self-motivated, tenacious, confident, independent, and strong attention to detail

What you’ll do for us

Responsibilities:

• Have fun! Enjoy the interactions with our customers and your co-workers
• Become a subject matter expert on all of Smarty’s products and services, including understanding licensing permissions and intended use cases for each offering
• Conduct detailed research into a customer’s business, clearly identify their business needs, and identify additional Smarty products that could benefit the customer’s current and future business needs
• Analyze customer behaviors to ensure alignment with licensing agreements
• Identify opportunities to improve customer licensing alignment, as appropriate
• Regularly share your findings and recommendations with appropriate sales personnel, so they can initiate discussions with identified customers
• Collaborate cross-functionally with appropriate marketing and product management personnel, to assist them in their respective efforts with applicable analysis
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned, within the scope of practice
• Participate in company cultural training initiatives, including Arbinger methodologies, and apply learned principles in your work and in your interactions with others
• Work hard, master your craft, and enjoy the journey - boldly going where no SaaS company has gone before
