Salary: Grade 6 - £31,834- £38,213 (Including London Allowance)
Location: Bloomsbury, London (successful candidate will need to be resident in the UK for the duration of their contract)
Hours: 35 hours per week

About the Department
The Student Advice & Wellbeing team sits within the Student Academic Services directorate. The team are comprised of a number of specialists across various areas and are supported by the Student Advice & Wellbeing Support Officers. Student Advice & Wellbeing are often the first port of call for students in need of mental health support, disability support, immigration & finance advice, accommodation allocation and multi-faith support.
About the role
As Student Advice and Wellbeing Support Officer, you will be joining a small team and will be the first point of contact for students using the following services:
- Wellbeing Team (including counselling and professional mentoring)
- Immigration, Finance and Housing Advice Team
- Disability and Neurodiversity Team
- Chaplaincy
About you
You will need to demonstrate:
Experience of working in a front line office administration and/or receptionist role working with diverse communities
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with others, and across all levels of an organisation.
Ability to deal with sensitive and stressful situations/individuals including people presenting with mental health difficulties, recognising and maintaining the need for confidentiality
Proficient IT skills with the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, together with the internet, email and social media skills.
Ability to manage financial invoicing and other financial administration.
