Job Summary/Basic Function
The Office of Diversity and Social Justice is seeking a student to provide a variety of tasks to assist the office.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Must be reliable, dependable and able to follow instructions and work independently, using pre-established guidelines.
- Customer service skills
- Computer skills (Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)
- Willingness to perform varied duties.
- Ability to multitask and work with multiple projects at one time
- Ability to walk to various locations across campus
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in an office setting
Job Duties
Tasks may included but are not limited to:
- Scanning and copying documents
- Answer phones, take messages and transfer accordingly
- Organize, stamp and deliver mail to appropriate staff member
- Customer service duties such as handling walk in guests and answering questions as it pertains to the Office of Diversity and Social Justice
- Assist with updated Office of Diversity and Social Justice website
- Other duties as assigned
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
- Be able to sit and use a computer for the length of shift
- Be able to walk across campus for deliveries
