Job description

Pay is based on the install charge from the subcontractor. minus any expenses built into the cost per zone such as marketing, customer acquisition, material, permitting, scheduling plumber, and overhead expenses that include (design drawings, invoicing, etc).

Install System

Valve Assembly:

• Install MV near VB and housed in 10” round valve box
• Locate valve manifolds per design
• Dura manifold assemblies are mandatory
• If singe valve, no smaller than 10” round valve box
• If 2 – 4 valves, use stand rectangle box
• If 5+ valves, use multiple boxes
• All boxes flush to grade
• Minimum 2” clearance from top of solenoid to box cover

Control Wire:

• Buried alongside mainline, when possible
• Enough excess left - coiled and managed in valve boxes
• Proper water-proof wire nuts
• Wire to controller
• Enters bldg. via a conduit and electrical LB
• Tacked to inside of bldg. – clean and straight
• Wire Schematic (see wire schematic chart below):

Head Placement:

• Installed per design, nozzled accordingly
• Spray pattern is pre-adjusted
• Spray nozzles not installed originally, with Little Valves in closed position – opened during system test to flush lines, the spray nozzles installed

Test System:

• Flush lines where available
• Fine adjustment of heads
• If using controller to test zones, keep controller and surrounding area clean
• System should be in final working condition when you leave the project
• Leave controller in the off position when leaving, unless told otherwise

General:

• No U-turns with trencher on client’s hard surfaces
• All pipe and wire buried with 8” cover – mainline deeper
• All excess materials picked up and removed
• All construction debris (roots, rock, excess sod, etc.) picked up and removed
• All trench lines cleaned and rolled
• Rake soil
• New construction (no sod) – basic rough raking
• Existing turf – rake up all dirt, rocks, etc.
• Sweep up all hard surfaces
