Job description
- Summer Academy dates are the weeks of June 20-22, June 26-June 29, July 10-13, July 17-20, July 24-28, July 31-Aug 3, and Aug 7- Aug 10
- Each class is one week long, Monday through Thursday. Instructors may be hired to teach multiple weeks. Class periods are 9:00 am-11:45 am, and 1:00 pm-3:15 pm. Finalization of classes will be confirmed approximately one month ahead, based on having reached the minimum required enrollment.
- Must be available for mandatory paid training and planning time prior to the start of the Summer Academic Program, during the week of June 12-June 16.
- Plymouth Middle School
- Create lesson plans for summer youth enrichment summer camps
- Facilitated summer youth enrichment summer camps
- Establish and maintain a positive culture for summer enrichment opportunities for students entering grades K-9.
- Support summer enrichment programing in all facets
- Attend weekly staff meetings
- Adhere to and implement program policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned
- BA or BS degree in education, child development, or other related field preferred
- Supervisory and group management experience with children/youth
- Demonstrated competence in the guidance of children/youth
- Activity/class instruction experience
- Training in or experience with subject matter
- CPR, First Aid certification, or concussion training may be required of some instructors

Applicants must have an interest or passion in teaching an academically-based subject matter to students, but in a non-traditional manner.
