Education Services is seeking candidates to provide quality services to youth in grades K-4 participating in a Summer Enrichment Program. This position provides direct services to program participants to assist in building skills leading to academic readiness, social competence and community responsibility.

DUTIES:

• Lead, plan, and participate in enrichment and recreation activities
• Assist youth in following program guidelines and reinforce limits and boundaries
• Monitor the physical and emotional well-being of participants, address issues to ensure the health and safety of all
• Assist in maintaining positive relationships with school personnel and the public; provides contacts with parents to engage in programming
• Ensure documentation of all program activities, youth files and data collection

REQUIREMENTS:

• Understanding of Youth Development and sincere desire to work with youth
• Demonstrated ability to work with others in non-judgmental manner and be a positive role model for youth and staff

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent; and one to three experience working with children under age 13; or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training relevant to the position.

Full-time 35 hours per week/7 weeks per year

Grade 7

Monday through Friday - 8 am to 3:30 pm
