QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants should have an interest in agriculture and working outdoors. A working knowledge of I-pads is desired but not required.

Good attitude and ability to follow instruction in a research environment is required.

JOB DUTIES:

Fieldwork includes: planting, thinning, weeding, pollinating, inoculating for disease, yield trials, data collection and seed harvest. Work is conducted at the DeForest research station and possibly at off-station trial sites in Wisconsin and Minnesota. Some overtime may be requested. Season is mid-May through August with part-time work being available in September.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Walking on uneven terrain, bending, reaching, twisting and lifting up to 50 pounds. Working outside in warm temperatures.

ANTICIPATED HOURS PER WEEK:

40 with some weeks of overtime expected.

SCHEDULE:

Normally Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, Contract, Seasonal

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Shift:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• No weekends
