The Role
OWL Services is looking for highly motivated, well-organized, qualified project Traveling Superintendent for commercial electrical projects in various parts of the US.
Responsibilities
- Leading and managing the on-site construction team (average team of 20-30 people).
- Read and understand blueprints
- Layout and coordination of underground, overhead, wall rough, etc.
- Coordination with the General Contractor’s Superintendent and other trades
- Coordination with Utility Company providers
- Liaising with inspection authorities regarding approvals.
- Implement safety standards and procedures
- Coordinating and overseeing all work on site.
- Must be able to operate various equipment (preferred)
- Reviewing and becoming familiar with the schedule and budget and ensuring adherence to these.
- Attending production meetings.
- Ensuring quality standards are met.
- Placing orders for materials and being responsible for equipment and materials on site.
- Following the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met.
- Monitoring cleanliness and organization of the project.
- Maintaining records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders and RFIs.
Requirements and Skills
- Applicant must be willing to be out of town for long periods of time. ( some projects are located within the Dallas / Fort Worth area )
- Applicant must be able to submit a list of recently completed projects of this type with general contractor references.
- Applicant must have a valid driver’s license and must be able to pass a drug test and criminal background.
- Applicant must have a current electrical Journeyman’s license.
- Applicant must be able to travel to various locations throughout the United States and see projects through to their completion.
- Safety must be a priority.
