The Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and all performance management responsibilities of staff assigned to support Printing Services. The Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day oversight & providing direction for Printing Services ensuring availability of collaterals and other printed materials of the highest quality in an effective and efficient manner. The Supervisor is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of print requests received from a variety of sources (Salesforce, e-mail, project meetings, etc.), and for the timely fulfilling of preprinted materials to the warehouse. The Supervisor leads a team that must be able to meet production needs in an environment of frequently changing priorities.The position is responsible for writing procedures and for providing training to unit employees. The Supervisor is also responsible for the Printing Services quality control, budgeting, management reporting, cross-training of staff necessary to ensure efficient operations, and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervises the workload and the staff of Printing Services to ensure performance standards are being met, that all procedures are written and followed, and that printing work is accurately completed on time with a high quality appearance in an effective and cost efficient manner.
- Has lead responsibility for Printing Services production planning, for maintaining inter-departmental collaboration. Delegates workload to maximize use and development of available resources.
- Responsible for hiring, training, counseling, motivating, performing appraisals, and all other aspects of the performance management process.
- Ability to delegate workload to both maximize and develop department resources.
- Assists with maintaining fleet of convenience copiers, Y-Soft management, and Xerox Print Audit Security Services (XPSAS) and assist with various vendor contracts.
- Responsible for quality control, budgeting, management reporting, and performance of other duties as assigned. Assists with maintaining production data and for providing management reports as requested.
- Participates and represents Printing Services as a decision-maker in corporate Special Projects and various planning meetings that have printing components as a deliverable. Represents Printing Services on various teams and projects as assigned.

- Skills: Effective organizational and interpersonal skills, an ability to work independently with limited direction, strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with staff of all levels, and an ability to adjust workload assignments and achieve results in a fast paced environment with frequently changing priorities and/or minimal lead time.
- Demonstrates leadership and staff development skills. Has well developed problem solving skills, strong production planning skills, and an ability to prioritize jobs, assignments, and resources.
- Working knowledge of the project management process, and demonstrates ability to manage and balance involvement in multiple projects simultaneously and to succeed under pressure of deadlines and due dates.
- Ability to preserve the confidentiality and integrity of information processed within the unit.
- Ability to operate equipment as needed.
- Ability to meet aggressive timelines and willingness to work occasional overtime as needed.
- Leadership: Results-oriented Supervisor with demonstrated ability to support and prioritize the resources to simultaneously support multiple projects and priorities. Has the ability to motivate, delegate, develop, and direct staff to achieve performance expectations and work objectives. Requires a strong sense of (internal) Customer Service.
Knowledge:
- General knowledge of Plan operations. Familiarity with printing & finishing processes. Strong familiarity with the Microsoft Suite of products.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce.
- Knowledge and experience in the operation of a PC and the Microsoft Suite products.
Experience:
- 3 years printing Services experience.
Education and Certifications:
- Associate's Degree in Business Management or 5 years relevant experience.
- Staff, team lead or project lead experience preferred
Work Environment:
Generally an office environment with frequent exposure to loud equipment, moving mechanical parts, dust and fumes that may affect the respiratory system. Frequently required to sit, use hands, talk, see, and hear.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently required to sit, use hands and fingers, talk, hear, and see. The physical exertion is considered to be medium work with employee exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally OR up to 20 pounds of force frequently OR up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
