The Product Operations Supply Chain Manager

The Product Operations Supply Chain Manager will lead a team of four industry professionals who each bring a high degree of expertise and company knowledge to the table. A true mover and shaker that brings the many active pieces from conception through to sourcing, sampling, testing, and launch together. The Product Operations Supply Chain Manager is a driven project manager with expertise in CPG inventory or nutritional supplements inventory for the product operations team, keeping projects in motion while also providing leadership. The Product Operations Supply Chain Manager reports directly to the VP of Operations.

What you’ll do:

• Lead the product operations team of four which includes a Demand Planner, Regulatory Specialist, and a Supplement Manufacturing Specialist to ensure the brand is 100% compliant with all regulatory and quality specs, that inventory is tightly controlled and we are never out of stock, and new products are formulated to our high expectations
• Create product roadmaps and build alignment and product knowledge across product teams, cross-functional partners (marketing, customer experience, etc.), and the leadership/executive team
• Serve as the main point of contact with our vendor partners to ensure timelines are met and quality is maintained
• Negotiate with suppliers and optimize contract terms and conditions for increased performance, profitability, and cash flow
• Spearhead formulation development in partnership with our Founder and CEO, Dr. Myers, by identifying benchtop and/or market retail gold standards, conducting comparisons against target products and identifying innovative ingredients
• Forecast upcoming health and wellness trends through personal knowledge and extensive research for new products, inventory management, and logistics buildout projections
• Establish metrics, goals, checks and balances to measure and improve performance in the areas of purchasing, planning, SOPs, systems and processes and data management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 4+ years experience in product operations in consumer products
• 4+ years of proven leadership managing and growing a strong product operations team
• Performed extensive competitor research and product research in the nutritional supplements and health and wellness space to identify new nutritional supplements to add to the company line and has presented these new product ideas to the leaders of the organization
• Track record of effectively using data and analysis to support product strategy/decisions
• Ability to communicate your teams work to senior management/executive team and lead cross-functional teams through the product development lifecycle
• Proven ability to manage partner relationships to quick timelines and efficient COGs
• Expert level knowledge of DSHEA, FDA and ISO regulations, and cGMP practices
• Expert in Microsoft Excel and Google Drive
• Working knowledge of Netsuite or other large ERP
• Knowledge of Monday.com or other project management software
• PMP certification a plus
