JOB TITLE: Supply Planning Specialist

SALARY RANGE: $68,000 - $78,500 annually, DOE (Full-Time/Salaried) - Bonus eligible position

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain and serving as a key member of the Leadership team, this role will be responsible for planning, determining, and executing the production schedule. The position will work with Production Managers and Supervisors on all shifts to organize the production cycle. Responsibilities range from up-to-hour schedule adjustments, to projected weekly product sequences.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Transforms planned orders into a finite production schedule to allow for smooth delivery of all orders.
  • Tracks execution of production schedules.
  • In coordination with the Director of Supply Chain, monitors schedule deviations, and coordinates with the production team to develop, communicate, and implement corrective actions to ensure timely schedule completion.
  • Works with Production team to determine optimal use of equipment to meet operating goals, balancing constraints imposed by equipment, systems, and product mix.
  • Collaborates with Supply Chain team to ensure raw materials are available to execute schedule.
  • In coordination with the Director of Supply Chain, oversees the events of failure to meet schedule, analyzes problems and submits recommendations for changes. Communicates both verbally and written with Supervisors and Managers as needed.
  • Analyzes trends and capability data to maintain standards and sequencing.
  • Strategically plans production to maximize packaging machine efficiency.
  • In coordination with the Director of Supply Chain, analyzes forecast and production data and produces meaningful reporting and recommendations pertaining to production and planning.
  • Maintains performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting planning and scheduling.
  • Complies with General Safety Communication Program.
  • Performs any other duties/tasks that may be assigned on an as needed basis.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-3 years in production planning/scheduling or program management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Certification in scheduling/planning preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related field preferred.
  • High degree of organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills required.
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft products (e.g., Office 365, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Exposure to ERP software (such as Oracle, SAP, etc.) and ability to learn new systems.
