Maintenance Supervisor
Graphic Packaging International, Inc., headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, is a leading provider of packaging solutions for a wide variety of products to food, beverage and other consumer products companies. The Company is one of the largest producers of folding cartons and holds a leading market position in coated-unbleached Kraft board and coated-recycled board. One of its facilities is currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor. The position is located at the Fort Smith, Arkansas plant, which is part of the Consumer Products Division producing sheet fed cartons.
Position Purpose: Responsible for providing leadership, guidance, direction and management for the maintenance department during the various shift operations. Ensures safety, quality and customer satisfaction goals are met. Initiates and supports all processes and ensures compliance with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) efforts. Minimal supervision required.
Job Functions:
- Lead safety, training, etc. Ensure prompt resolution of facility safety issues.
- PM pre-meeting/execution/post follow-up
- Prioritize and dispense work orders for completion
- Auditing work completion
- Daily execution of tasks – Supervisor of tactical resources
- Identifies activities and opportunities that improve the manufacturing processes and controls costs throughout the department.
- Additional duties as assigned
- Directly involved in responsibilities / actions related to Prerequisite and Food Safety.
- In the absence of Maintenance Supervisor, daily responsibilities will be transferred to RCM Manager or Operations Manager.
- Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
- Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
- Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
- Reporting of any customer complaints to persons responsible to enter into GPI’s Customer Complaint system for root cause analysis and appropriate corrective action taken.
- Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
- Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.
Requirements:
- Maintenance experience: knowledge of electrical (277/480VAC, 120/208VAC, 12-24VDC), PLCs, mechanical (pumps, blowers, chillers, oil conditioners), power transmission systems, building services, rotary equipment.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to manage projects, resources and people and set and meet target deadlines.
- Ability to develop improvements, achieve budget/cost constraints.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook and internet.
- Proficient with SAP systems.
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs at a time.
- Ability to move around the plant to direct resources.
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs as needed.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
