Job description
Multi-Specialty Surgery Biller and Coder needed with experience in coding surgery, understanding of implant and drug billing, as well as payor contract impacts to proper posting of surgical procedures.
Ability to manage incoming and outgoing coding.
Conduct coding reviews for follow up to coding co-workers and/or address documentation conflicts with physicians.
Charge posting.
Claims submission/manage claim rejections.
Management of payor chart audits.
Review of coding for appeal/denial follow up.
Ability to utilize resources, research LCD and/or payor policy in reference to denials and correction or determining medical necessity and need for physician follow up.
Ability to assist co-workers with direction to proper insurance appeals.
Ability to review ledgers and documentation for billing inquiries and proper response.
Ability to determine accuracy of credits and payor overpayment requests, form disputes as necessary.
Preferred coding experience to include Orthopedics, Podiatry, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, ENT, Hand surgery, Pain management, and Gastroenterology.
Experience in all aspects of Revenue Cycle Management Insurance and Patient Billing and Collection follow through.
