The Surgical Scheduler (SS) schedules all surgical procedures for Orthopedics/Podiatry and assures that all appropriate clinical and insurance coding information is collected for the surgery schedule. The Surgery Scheduler receives requests to schedule procedures from the Orthopedic/Podiatry clinics and schedules the procedures according to the established guidelines. The Surgical Scheduler coordinates with the PAT team at CVMC to ensure that all cases are appropriately placed on their calendar. The Surgery Scheduler properly maintains/charts patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Athena Net. Responds to Instant Messages (IM), creates patient cases as necessary. Provides customer-focused quality healthcare to family health patient populations, meeting their diverse health and social needs.
