Position Summary:
Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. The primary purpose of the Surgical Tech position is to assist the surgeon and RN’s in operative procedures.
Reports to: Manager of Surgical Services
FLSA: Non-exempt
Minimum Qualifications:
X High school diploma or equivalent Required
X Graduate of a Program in Discipline Preferred
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:
X Surgical Tech certification required up on hire
OR
X Associates Degree in Allied Health with 2 years of relevant experience.
X Basic Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of hire
