Surgical Technician
Operating Room
The Surgical Technician will:
Function as a Scrub Assistant during general surgeries.- Set up Operating Rooms with sterile instruments and surgical supplies.
- Assist with the care, preparation, and maintenance of sterile and unsterile equipment, instruments and supplies.
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice to ensure implementation of the Plan of Care and communicating information pertinent to the patient's status to Registered Nurse.
Requirements:
Graduate of a Surgical Technical Program, an accredited Practical School of Nursing, equivalent training or successful completion of an orientation program.- Ability to work on call under direction of the RN.
- BLS administration required.
