SUMMARY:
The Chief Information Officer’s role is to provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives. The role will influence, direct, plan, organize, and lead all activities of the IT, Software Development, and Mortgage Technology departments to ensure effective, efficient, and secure operation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain an appropriate IT organizational structure that supports the needs of Novus Home Mortgage
- Provide technical guidance within the organization
- Oversees department budgets for programs, projects, purchases, and equipment upgrades
- Provide the strategic and operational leadership in guiding the future direction of the department(s)
- Collaborate with fellow senior leaders to set and achieve business goals and objectives
- Aligning and deploying technology to streamline business processes
- Review hardware and software acquisition and maintain contracts
- Establish and maintain performance metrics that measure and report the effectiveness of the department activities and IT investment made by the organization
- Manages ongoing operations, mission-critical systems, and overall security
- Ensure the IT needs of internal employees and internal business units are met
- Supervise recruitment, development, retention, and organization of all IT staff in accordance with budgetary objectives and personnel policies
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will oversee the IT, Software Development, and Mortgage Technology teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience; minimum of 2 years in executive leadership
- Experience in the mortgage industry- preferred
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate in a clear, consistent, and transparent manner
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team
