Broad IT Services is looking for a Systems Administrator with a focus on Jamf Systems Administration and macOS management at the Broad Institute. You would be reporting to the Associate Director of IT and would serve as the team’s internal expert on macOS related projects.
Daily activities will include automation, application packaging, OS updates, and additional projects as needed.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

Troubleshoot and solve issues on Broad Institute macOS endpoints

Managing the update cycle including monthly security updates and annual OS updates

Engineer and sustain macOS-related technologies across the firm.

Ensure products meet the necessary security, supportability & performance requirements.

Develop tools and scripts to enable automation and platform integration through scripting. (Strong preference for Bash experience, Python is also accepted)

Provide 3rd level support in investigation & troubleshooting the root cause of complex issues.

Collaborate with peers on best practices while also being able to work autonomously.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Minimum five years of platform engineering experience.

Minimum two years experience engineering mac endpoints.

Comfortable troubleshooting at the L3 level in a post production environment.

Knowledgeable on network protocols and related infrastructure components.

Strong technical aptitude, with an engineering mindset & willingness to learn.
Desired Qualifications

Jamf 200 and 300 Certifications

Agile Methodology

Mostly remote though on-site meeting may be required multiple times a month
