This position is for a Systems Engineer on our Innovation team responsible for designing, integrating and developing innovative hardware/software solutions within this organization. A strong focus on rapid prototyping and experimentation with wide impact across the business and across multiple domains. The ideal candidate has a strong desire to learn, is self-motivated, and a team player while applying strong technical aptitude to an incredible team developing creative and novel technical solutions that have a lasting impact on our world.

Roles and responsibilities include:

• Evaluating, rapidly piloting, developing and implementing new technology
• Working in an agile and DevSecOps environment
• Partnering with peers and internal stakeholders to shape project requirements through industry research, stakeholder interviews and emerging trends
• Collaborating with project managers and development team to ensure projects are on schedule
• Driving innovation through relentless pursuit of what is possible through testing and experimentation

Basic Qualifications:

• Demonstrated knowledge of Systems Engineering disciplines (i.e. integration, interfaces, architecture development, etc.)

Desired Skills:

• Demonstrated knowledge of Systems Engineering disciplines including: system architecture development, interface requirements development, test plan/ procedure development, technical decision making (i.e. trade studies), and technical measurements

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of an integrated team

• Ability to compile, prepare, and present information to management and customers and communicate effectively across multiple disciplines

• Complete program lifecycle experience on development and/or sustainment programs

• Experience in Project Execution or Program Management (or similar role), supporting programs achieve their cost, schedule, and technical objectives

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
