Moog’s Corporate Group is looking for a Systems Engineer – SolidWorks/Teamcenter.
Moog’s Aerospace and Defense operating groups are collaborating on a global Product Lifecycle Management program (A&D PLM). This multi-year journey will consist of numerous projects focused on a global enterprise-wide re-implementation of our PLM solution, Siemens Teamcenter. We are looking for people to identify, evaluate and document requirements for business process change, ensure these requirements are translated into effective solutions, and provide process support to PLM users throughout the business.

Overview of the role…
  • Role is to help onboard the entire Aircraft Group and Space & Defense Group organization onto A&D PLM (Teamcenter), providing both in-person and phone/digital support, while increasing knowledge of new business processes and tools to use upon reentry into engineering or business post rollout
  • Based on performance and desire, this role can develop into long-term role as part of the Enterprise Engineering Applications Support Team
  • Will become skilled in many advanced subjects in A&D PLM and their corresponding tools, depending on areas of interest and support, such as MBD (model-based definition, requirements management, analysis integrations, etc.)
  • You will be part of a technically challenging, global implementation of Teamcenter, which will interface with ERP and other systems.
  • You will be providing both technical support directly to users, as well as be a part of a Team that helps define and test the parameters of use of the Computer Aided Design tools used at Moog. This includes defining Standards, best practices and procedures that comply with the business needs.
    • For this role, we are looking for someone with extensive Solidworks experience
  • You’ll be working with the Business Process Managers in AG and SDG to evaluate incoming user improvement requests against the overall A&D PLM strategy for consideration in upcoming development efforts for new system functionality
  • You’ll be the point-person for all A&D PLM knowledge for a given set of locations and sites before, during, and after rollout activities
  • You’ll be interfacing with PLM Business Analysts, users, and Subject Matter Experts to support A&D PLM
  • Travel requirements: 5%
Responsibilities:
  • Identifying and assessing Trends/Problems to further help with evaluating impact/priority, as well as escalations to Development Team to implement fixes and/or changes needed
  • Providing documentation and lessons learned from Incident/Request Closure to either User-Facing knowledge, or internal knowledge amongst the Support Team
  • Becoming an expert in A&D PLM software, tools, and business processes

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Typically, a four-year bachelor of science (BS) degree in a technical discipline, preferably in one of the following areas:
    • Mechanical Engineering; Electrical Engineering; Systems Engineering; Supply Chain Engineering; Manufacturing Engineering
    • Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree
  • Program or project experience with requirements management and risk mitigation
  • Working knowledge of both Teamcenter PLM Application, as well as MCAD Applications, specifically, SolidWorks is required for this role.
    • Preferably 3-5 years
  • Proficient English skills, both written and verbal; additional languages are a plus
Bonus Qualifications:
  • IT Service Management Tool familiarity (Service Now as an example)
  • SAFe/Scaled Agile familiarity
  • Azure DevOps familiarity

This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
