Salary: £33,000 per annum to £41,180 per annum

About the Job:
This is a great opportunity for someone to work in the systems team with server, storage, application, and networking administration/troubleshooting. You will be pro-active in highlighting areas within these implementations that can be improved and contribute to decisions on future technology.
The systems specialist will also be working with 3rd party consultants integrating various application into the Northern estate as required.
We expect you to be focused and driven with a logical and methodical approach to problem solving, who can draw on previous experience while keeping an open mind on the root cause of a technical issue.
Due to the size and nature of the company travel within the North of England will be expected when needed with regular visits to both datacentres located in York and Manchester.
To fulfil this highly technical role effectively you will need:
Required Skills Include:
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong experience in supporting Windows Operating systems, Microsoft Office suites
- Administering VMWare ESX.
- Working with Veeam backups
- Storage administration ( Nimble storage and falconstor will be an advantage )
- Exposure to Azure Administration
- O365 Administration
- Working knowledge of networking
- Powershell and VB Scripting
- HPE \ Dell servers racking and cabling.
- Strong decision-making/problem solving skills.
- Participate in the on-call rota
- Participate in the monthly outage systems patching
- The ability to use your own initiative using available resources
The following qualifications are advantageous but not essential:
- MCSA – Windows Server
- CCE-V
- VCP6-DCV/VCP6-DTM and Above
- Experience in SAN management
- Experience in O365
