10 hour Night shift - Team Leader Position

Works with supervisor to schedule workloads, to meet customer expectations and ensuring Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
- Coordinate with supervisor on attendance, employee performance and aiding in team development.
- Direct schedules and changes to it.
- Be sure all required information is available for operators to run before products are processed- raw materials, history control tickets, ect.
- Bid rights will transfer to the department.
- Cross trains in all jobs in work center.
- Support GPS initiatives (Standard work, 5s, TPM, Problem Solving, Behavior Based Safety)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead daily stretches and meeting, help assure smooth line start up and shift changes, ect.
- Respond to all individual needs to team members to assure value stream runs, making decisions on whether value stream goes down or continues to run.
- Coordinate with maintenance, quality, ect as needed for handling minor issues.

Computer navigation knowledge

Ability to adapt to daily workload

Ability to make decisions related to compiling and organizing information from a variety of sources and using judgment in applying internal guidelines and procedures

Ability to coordinate with supervisor on attendance and employee performance

Ability to lead team and schedule workloads to meet expected metrics of safety, quality, delivery and cost

Ability to conduct team information/continuous improvement meetings
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Must be able to work 40 hours per week plus overtime as needed.

PIV license
-
Operates under limited supervision

Good written and oral communication skills a must

Knowledge of Microsoft office a plus
- Prior to a job offer being extended to a perspective applicant, the applicant will be required to pass a 3 step interview process, background check, drug screen, and Pope Testing
LEADERSHIP/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads associates in area to work efficiently and perform to expected metrics of safety, quality, delivery and cost. Tracks and communicates daily goals
TRAVEL: Minimal Less than 5%
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Lifting of up to 60lbs
- Lifts to waist and to check, some overhead lifting
- Continuous bending and stretching
- Pushing, straight pulling or hand over hand pulling in excess of 50lbs
- Some work may be repetitive in nature
- Stooping and/or twisting
- Climbing may be necessary
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The Ability to work in extreme heat
- Ability to work in noisy areas
- Standing/Walking on concrete for 8 to 12 hours.
