Position: Team Leader - Dock Operations

Job Type: Full Time – Regular

Hours per week: 40hrs

Pay rate: $25 (Final pay will be decided by the hiring manager)

Shift Timings: 8am – 5pm

Location: Greenfield, IN 46140

Responsibilities:

• Complete training as required by Exela and customer prior to their due date, Operate our PacTrac scanning system.
• Perform all checks and scans required for appropriate chain of custody tracking, Upload and update scanner daily
• Receive packages and document receipt from courier trucks.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs and request team lift when material exceeds weight or is irregular.
• Check and quality control all 6 sides of packages for suspicious indicators (leaks, weapons, IED’s and visible damage)
• Verifying information on courier label and PacTrac labels are matching.
• Use flatbed carts to deliver packages to the recipient while following all outlined Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
• Maintain accurate accountability level with all deliveries, Obtain clear signatures from clients for accountable material.
• Perform cross training tasks at multiple dock locations, Perform mail / package delivery routes.
• While on route, pick up of any outgoing shipments, Complete “Final” mail box run picking up outgoing shipments and mail when applicable for the locations.
• Perform sample delivery routes when applicable, Adhere to strict SLA’s while performing sample deliveries.
• Coordinate with other docks to ensure package movements.
• Fill out proper paper work when moving packages from dock to dock. (physical transfers with full description and signatures), Maintain accurate logs.
• Ensure safety requirements are being adhered to on all levels, Active participation in the onsite safety program, Check emails daily
• Able to effectively communicate with clients and company personnel (in writing and verbally).
• Power Equipment Training, Valid Driver’s License, PPE mandatory requirements required by customer and specific locations.
• Steel or composite toed shoes, Safety glasses, Gloves used for package handling, Cold gloves used for Dry Ice handling
• Intermediate computer skills a must – email & Microsoft Office
• Adhere to all policies and procedures set forth by employer and client.
• Follow instructions given by Team Leader, Managers, and onsite customer sponsor, Excellent attendance, Maintain daily tracking and metrics for reporting
• May be required to work flexible hours, Able to effectively work independently and in a team environment.

• Knowledge of shipping domestic and international, Manage and coordinate shipping/receive of different areas and different types of material.
• Verify shipping documentation (internal/external) is correct by quality inspections prior to departure of material.
• Pack an internal and external shipment according to specification and requirements, Package material in appropriate container according to department guidelines
• Maintain daily tracking and metrics of shipments, internal and external, Offer shipping solutions for external and internal shipping
• Packaging, Ensure Temperature Requirements are met, Package material in appropriate container according to department guidelines
• Identify Hazardous Material, Package in accordance with DOT and IATA regulations, Choose Couriers (preferred and country specific)

"The pay range for this position starts at $25.00; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonus opportunities may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered."
