Sales associates & cashiers are wanted for Waldport Ace Hardware, located in Waldport Oregon. We want to hire friendly and enthusiastic people who enjoy working with others and being part of a team. Previous hardware, electrical, plumbing, paint, auto and general retail experience is highly valued. Responsibilities for this position include the following: * Point of sale check-out (Cashier) * Customer service and assistance * Answering phones * Store cleaning * Product merchandising * Product stocking * Executing store service * Key cutting * Paint mixing Requirements for this position include the following: * Some computer literacy * Ability to be a team player * Helpful & positive attitude * Good communication skills * Desire to learn * Ability to follow directions * Respectfully and politely interact with all types of customers * Personal accountability * Regular and consistent on-time attendance * Willingness to wear a uniform The following skills are not required, but highly valued: * Retail Sales Experience * Experience with Ace Hardware * Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Carpentry, & Paint mixing knowledge & experience Physical requirements * Ability to stand for extended periods of time (up to 9 Hours) * Ability to handle boxes of merchandise throughout the store and stock room * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally without accommodation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Shift:

• 8 hour shift

Weekly day range:

• Every weekend
• Monday to Friday
• Rotating weekends
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Waldport, OR 97394: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
