Our Technical Assemblers perform various duties such as building electronic/optical assemblies and sub-assemblies for lasers alongside the side of team members that influence the future of laser technology.

Responsibilities:
  • Build electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies for lasers, which may include soldering, splicing, cutting and crimping wires
  • Build optical and fiber assemblies which could involve grinding and polishing down lenses, stripping and splicing fibers, building fiber cables, etc
  • Inspect components for defects and document any disparities throughout manufacturing process
  • Work with computers to document information
  • Follow established standard operating and safety procedures
  • Work in a self-directed team environment to achieve daily goals
  • Reading blueprints and schematics to understand the objectives of each manufacturing process
  • Testing and measuring components using various electronic and optical measuring equipment

Requirements:
  • Comfortable working with small, fragile parts
  • Regular and reliable attendance. Must be present and on time for work as scheduled
  • Be able to work carefully and consistently. Highly motivated, eager to learn, and be cross-trained
  • Familiarity with PCs and Microsoft Windows for data entry
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and schematics
  • Experience in electro-mechanical or optical assembly is preferred, however, not required
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22C.F.R. §120.15 are required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee.
