Your role in our mission
Essential Job Functions
- Manages a team of Developers working in a hybrid development (Waterfall/Agile) environment
- Develops their staff to meet department strategic resource needs
- Coordinates activities of multiple projects within Enterprise Development and participates as a servant leader to the agile development teams in the department
- Participates in the interview and hiring process
- Prepares and administers annual reviews and development plans, makes promotion and salary recommendations
- Responsible for personnel planning and the allocation of team members to meet Enterprise Development project needs
- Identifies and mentors future leaders / managers for company growth
- Demonstrates application knowledge and understands functionality of applications outside their area of expertise to identify potential impacts and make recommendations to minimize the impacts
- Responds to questions from other IT departments and business units and coordinates resolution of critical issues to provide support for production applications
- This role is the primary point of contact for the scheduling, coordination, and management of implementation activities for the Contractor’s awarded MMIS Core Module
- This role is also responsible for managing implementation risks and issues and ensuring timely delivery of implementation project deliverables
- This role oversees implementation planning activities throughout DDI and support solution configuration, release, deployment, operational readiness, O&M, and Certification processes
- Manages client project management, company management and project team expectations for agreed upon project performance by obtaining and providing project metrics
- Acts as the point of contact with client project management. Identifies, when and as appropriate, staffing changes or needs as project progresses
- Participates in proposal efforts and sales calls to enhance opportunities for future business deals with client
- Manages client expectations and balances the needs of company and client to ensure satisfaction for relevant parties
What we're looking for
- Deep knowledge of Medicaid and Health IT that spans the development and testing of systems through the operation of the programs the technology supports
- 10+ years management experience leading product implementation or systems/technological teams in the Healthcare sector
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in managing and leading a large-scale or Enterprise-Wide healthcare IT systems contract or project that encompasses a full software development lifecycle from initiation through post-implementation and includes operations and maintenance
- Experience following a standard project management methodology and in using various project management tools in developing project plans, delivering tasks, and tracking timelines and resources
- Experience working with administrative processes Experience working with client vision, business objectives, and critical success factors
- Demonstrated understanding of project management processes, strategies, and methods
- Experience in mentoring, coaching, and developing rising talent in the technology department
- Experience working on Medicaid modernization projects
- Experience in managing both staff and processes, deadline-oriented work, budgets, and revenue and profitability
- Experience leading complex projects spanning multiple knowledge, technical, and functional disciplines
- Agile/Scrum/PMP Certification is preferred
- An ideal candidate can drive work with technical teams, balance the multiple varying needs of a client, and positively support company-based initiatives
- A strong understanding of network, security, DevOps, and deployment architecture with experience in cloud hybrid networking, cloud security, cloud direct and gateway connections, and container-based continuous deployment methodologies
- A strong understanding of Waterfall, Agile, and DevOps methodologies as well as experience deploying to cloud architectures

The pay range for this position is $84,500.00 - $120,700.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
