JOB TITLE
Technical Pre-Sales and Implementations Lead
We are looking for that rare combination of loving talking to clients while loving implementing technology. The Professional Services Engineer role is all about helping our clients integrate with Medefer systems, so that we can serve our patients quickly, efficiently and safely.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrate an understanding of legislation and NHS Initiatives.
- Understanding of NHS clinical pathways, including outpatient activity from GP referral to Treatment.
- Support the Sales Team with customer-facing technical consultancy assistance.
- Take a leading role in establishing technical solutions and writing proposals/feasibility assessments.
- Build technical relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- Working with technical team, lead on the development of customer demonstrators and deliver cost effective proof of concepts (POC).
- Review integration products to specify the best solutions for our customers.
- In depth knowledge of HL7 messaging and integration methodologies.
- Map Customers exiting IT Solutions and data flows, define key requirements and develop specifications based on customer preferences.
- Work in partnership with project implementation team to understand Client requirements and translate into technical solutions.
- Work with business process analysis artifacts, including but not limited to use cases, stories, process flows, project schedules.
- Participate in creating and executing manual test cases as well as support UAT.
- Deliver Product/Service presentations and demonstrations.
- Ability to conduct process mapping activities and support the identification of process improvement opportunities.
- Provide support at external and internal client-facing workshops/meetings.
- Support product development through insights from Customers and lessons learnt.
- Conducting competitor research to learn more about customers' needs.
- Collaborate closely with dev ops team/external suppliers on developing and testing functionality for which requirements were gathered and documented.
- Proactively resolve and/or escalate issues.
- Assist with transition projects from implementation to support.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Experience with healthcare and/or clinical IT software and solutions is essential
- Ideally you will have already or be able to produce a complete piece of software from scratch
- Impeccable written communication, diligence, and attention to detail.
- Highly self-managing with exceptional planning and organisational skills.
- Strong software architecture and project management skills.
- Diplomatic and empathetic when dealing with clients and external parties.
- Able to negotiate assertively but reasonably with internal implementation teams.
- Comfortable joining sales-focused activities and adopting a sales mindset.
- Comfortable attending senior management meetings and reporting on progress.
- Deep understanding of database structures and SQL, especially SQL Server, highly desirable.
- Experience with MS development tools and languages, APIs, and web development including Javascript, HTML and CSS highly desirable.

TERMS
- Full-time role.
- Salary up to £65k depending on skillset and experience.
