Job description

Are you an experienced Technical Sales Writer, who understands what a professional consulting organization does? Do you know what RFQs, RFPs, RFIs, SOWs, SLAs, SOQs, and ITBs are? Do you understand IT and cybersecurity? Do you revel in crafting a great story and speak human? If so, we need your expertise.

Archetype SC, Inc. seeks a Technical Sales Writer who will be responsible for developing winning proposals through strategic messaging, ensuring we’re articulating the best story and value to clients in compelling and distinguished ways, developing innovative deliverables to visually tell that story, and strong project management.

Our clients and projects are as diverse as our people, ranging from a not-so-small milkshake bar in Myrtle Beach to some of the largest companies in the world.

Working at Archetype SC is more than punching in and punching out—it is a family experience. We are passionate about technology, our employees, and providing the best possible solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a library of proposal content, technical data, and other supporting documents
  • Participate in proposal strategy sessions with the sales team
  • Analyze and interpret technical information and data to create compelling proposals
  • Manage proposal schedules and timelines to meet deadlines
  • Review and edit proposals to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with the requirements
  • Search for relevant RFPs/RFQs
  • Other duties as assigned

You have

  • 2+ years of technical writing experience or proposal development
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, IT, Cybersecurity or a related field
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) to collaborate with team members and project stakeholders that don’t always understand technical terms and proposals
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

You may even have

  • Experience working at an IT and/or cybersecurity company
  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to “get smart quick” on a wide variety of topics
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask within a fast-paced, challenging, and deadline-driven environment

Benefits

For our full-time employees, we offer the following benefits:

  • Paid time off, including vacation, sick, holiday, and your birthday
  • Health Insurance, including major medical, vision, and dental
  • Life Insurance
  • Short and Long-term Disability Coverage
  • 401K with match
