About the role: Being a customer-focused Technical Support Engineer with superior problem-solving skills, you will:
- Be an integral part of our Customer Success team, contributing directly to the technical support of our mobile, cloud, and embedded software.
- Ensure we maintain a high level of service availability, identifying and managing risks and troubleshooting issues.
- Research and diagnose the nature of the software/hardware issue.
- Liaise with onsite field technicians, help desk support and customers, coach them through corrective actions, and communicate any hardware/software settings.
- Work with solutions on Azure, over cellular networks, and disconnected networks
- Install, configure, and update devices/applications for customers and internal users.
- Install, configure, and upgrade systems, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware according to user permissions and requirements.
- Troubleshoot systems issues, document problems and resolutions, and assess the impact of issues. (Users on-premises and remote support)
- Execute regular audits of the systems, including all backups.
- Execute server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, and group policies.
- Ensure Connexionz IT infrastructure and networking are always up and running
This role will be based in our Santa Clarita Office, CA.
About you:
- High School diploma or equivalent. Preferred post-high school qualification e.g., degree or post-secondary certificate in relevant field.
- 1-5 years of relevant work experience in a tech support role.
- 1-5 years of database, network administration, or system administration experience
- 1+ years’ experience dealing directly with customers over the phone and in person – B2B an advantage.
- Experience with transport agencies, bus manufacturers, or intelligent transit solution providers (highly desirable, but not necessary)
- L3 technical support experience would be an advantage
- A willingness to learn and a coachable personality with good listening skills are required.
- Self-directed and can operate without intensive management.
- An effective communicator, both in writing and verbally. Customer service oriented.
- Skilled in analytical and critical thinking, being able to resolve problems in the field.
- A team player who contributes and works well with others.
- A resilient, hard worker who thrives on fixing critical issues.
Your technical skills include:
- Working experience with Azure, APIs, and Linux-based operating systems (highly desirable).
- Familiarity with bash scripting.
- Network troubleshooting and configuration (highly desirable)
- Android apps install and configuration.
- Skilled with electronic and mechanical installation and repair (highly desirable)
- 12V/24V electrical competencies to ensure high-quality upfit of electrical systems on vehicle applications (highly desirable)
