We are seeking a Test Technician to join our team in Camden, Arkansas.

Alternate 4/10 workweek schedule Saturday, Sunday, Thursday, & Friday.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each):
Working under close supervision:

50% - Troubleshoot and check out instrumentation problems such as a shorted or open circuit due to instrument cable problems. Troubleshoot and be able to set the Conditioning box controls.

10% - Support Process Engineers by setting up, operating experimental or prototype equipment to meet processing requirements.

10% - Perform basic analysis, calculations, statistics, and assist in preparing reports on above activities.

15% - Set up and support EXTEF functional tests such as Slow Cook Off, Fast Cook Off, Bullet Impact and other Insensitive Munitions Testing.

15% - Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
Requires an Associate's degree with a concentration in engineering, physical science or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level. Requires U.S. Citizenship. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

Desirable Qualifications:
  • Computer software background.
  • Previous experience with Oracle software or Q-Nix.
  • Previous experience with micro-welding instrumentation or soldering instrumentation.
  • Experience or courses completed on Blueprint reading or Geometric Tolerancing.
  • Ability to perform engineering mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to create simple drawings and sketches for communication purposes.
  • Experience with the set up and activation of test equipment such as Micristar, Hydrologger, Vishay Amplifier, Micro-welder or Multimeter (VOM).
  • Experience with complex instrumentation and equipment includes but is not limited to Load cells, Pressure transducers, strain gages, thermocouples, accelerometers, video cameras and High Speed Video camera system. Specifically, a background with Ethernet, fiber optic, and coaxial cables is preferred. Experience with the Phantom high speed video camera system would be a plus.
  • Previous experience with CAD or CMM would be a plus.
  • Experience with test summaries and test documentation is preferred.
  • Prior experience with MIL-STD-2105 would be preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit or stand and maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require occasional walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
