Description
In this position you will perform lot release testing on a variety of materials and post-test inspection of test specimens. This is a great opportunity for motivated individuals who want a chance to work in a fast-paced environment and learn some new skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
In this position you will perform lot release testing on a variety of materials and post-test inspection of test specimens. This is a great opportunity for motivated individuals who want a chance to work in a fast-paced environment and learn some new skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Sets up laboratory equipment and instrumentation required for tests, research, or process control
- Performs a variety of quality, customized tests which will analyze materials to determine strength, stability, purity, chemical content, and other characteristics, in order to identify any performance/reliability issues with the material
- Organizes and maintain the test lab
- Safely operates tools such as a band saw, grinder, sander, polisher and mounting machinery
- Safely handles chemicals used for etching material
- Performs microscopic reviews of material being tested
- Maintains detailed records of test results
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- US Citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED required
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong time management skills
- The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
