We are currently seeking applicants to fill an immediate need for a therapeutic foster care case manager position working with children who have Mental Health issues. Pay for this position will be adjusted once he/she has displayed competency in fulfilling the position requirements. The current position would be ideal for someone living in or near Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, as the coverage primarily in Mecklenburg County and the counties west and north of Mecklenburg. Approximately 60% of the job requires travel in these areas at the very least 2 times per month depending on the number of weeks in a month. The majority of your work time would be out of your home.

The successful applicant MUST have a bachelor’s degree in a human service field and will have enough work experience to qualify as a child/adolescent mental health qualified professional (QP). A QP for this position means at the very least 2 years of experience working specifically with children (18 and younger) who have a Mental Health diagnosis. This experience MUST be after a Bachelor's degree has been obtained. If your experience has been with children who are Developmentally Delayed, this does not make you a Mental Health QP. Paraprofessional experience DOES NOT COUNT. Being an adult Mental Health QP does not count towards a child/adolescent QP status either. College required Internships do not count in acquiring QP status. This position requires that the applicant have excellent verbal and written communication skills, very good organization skills with a good understanding of computer skills and use of Microsoft Word and Adobe for PDF documents. Candidate must have experience developing and maintaining Person Centered Plans. *******Applicants considered for this position must not be more than 40 miles from Mecklenburg Co area.
