Position Summary:
As the Demand Planning Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing historical data and identifying current trends to develop unconstrained demand forecasts. You will share these forecasts with cross functional teams including finance, sales, and merchandising. Forecasts will impact seasonal purchasing and in-season inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate seasonal forecasts at various levels (top downs / bottoms up) using historical data, trend inputs, account plans, and product lifecycles.
- Consolidate global regional demand to inform supply chain of future needs related to materials, vendor capacity, and buy timing.

Assist in the creation and tracking of the financial forecast.
- For assigned categories, provide forecasts and other inputs into consensus demand planning process which leveraging partnership across includes sales, merchandising, product, and finance teams.
- Provide seasonal demand reporting to key stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
- Responsible for maintaining forecast in system at style / color and monthly level
- Measure forecast accuracy utilizing agreed upon KPI’s (such as MAPE & BIAS).
- Prepare forecast reporting and demand planning metrics for monthly S&OP meetings.
- Partner closely with supply planning counterparts to determine monthly buy guidelines and align on inventory risks.
- Assist in the tracking of the financial forecast in comparison to demand forecasts.
- Provide seasonal demand reporting to key stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
- Proactively develop ad hoc analyses and recommendations to support business objectives. related, but not limited to, shipping, inventory, sku efficiency, systems and process.
- Provide key inputs into the S&OP process.
- Demonstrate product expertise for assigned categories.
Skills for Success:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand, assess, & problem solve by leveraging technical and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team environment
- Proven ability to multi-task effectively
- Advanced Excel Skills (pivot tables, macro’s). Experience in other analytical tools a plus.
- Understanding of reporting tools (Tableau/Brio)
- Self-starter with excellent follow through
- Excellent attention to detail
- Forecasting System experience, a plus
Educational/ Position Requirements:
- 2 - 3 years of experience in a Corporate Supply Chain environment; demand or supply planning desired.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or university (preferred concentration in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business Management)
- APICS or Six-Sigma Certifications are a plus
