Job description

We are a small family-centered and family owned center and have been caring for children in Woodbury since 1978. WTM is an education based program with a fundamental Montessori philosophy, approach and learning materials. Center hours are 7:00 am - 5:30 pm so no super early or late hours required for children or staff.

We are looking for a nurturing, enthusiastic teacher for our toddler program.

Requirements:

• Applicants must meet the requirements for teacher per MN Rule 3 and be able to guide toddler development.
• Previous experience in a NAEYC accredited center or Montessori setting is preferred but not required
• AA or BA/BS in Early Education or Education preferred. Some college coursework (generals or preferably early education credits) or CDA

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families and staff
• Develop creative, fun developmentally appropriate lesson plans
• Maintain a safe and developmentally appropriate environment for learning
• Conduct conferences with families twice a year
• Help children achieve intellectual and emotional milestones

The hours for this position will likely be 8:30 - 5:30 Monday - Friday.

After a 3-month probationary period a $500 signing bonus will be paid.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
