An opportunity has arisen to join the Frontier team, based at Southampton. We are looking for a Trainee Process Operative to join us on a permanent full-time basis.
We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, enjoys multitasking and has a full driving licence. This role requires a flexible approach to working hours during busy periods.
Ideal candidate
- IT literate with some experience of using Microsoft office
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work at height and in confined spaces
- Able to cope under pressure and work towards deadlines
- Self motivated, solution focused and effective team player
The role – Key responsibilities
- Use computerised control panel and weigher to direct grain to store and vessel
- Enter tipping/loading information into the weighbridge computer system
- Assist the management team in the efficient and effective operation of the site
- Ensure general housekeeping and hygiene of the site/buildings is maintained
- Within capability, non technical general maintenance in and around site
- Prepare and maintain records to comply with site, shipping, quality, health and safety rules and procedures
- Operate machinery across the site including the shiploader
- Provide assistance to the weighbridge and testing staff
- Complete daily equipment checks to ensure equipment in good working order
