Job Description:
The Ultrasound Technologist trainee works under the direction of assigned Registered Technologists assisting with Ultrasound procedures. Assists in the development and the monitoring of specific systems in coordination of activities that improve the quality of patient care.
Required Skills:
- Ability to use critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Ability to use oral and written communication skills effectively.
- Ability to use interpersonal relationship skills.
- Knowledge of tasks within the scope of practice of an Ultrasound Technologist.
- Ability to utilize computers for documentation purposes.
Required Experience:
Work Experience:
One year of clinical training in Ultrasound preferred.
License/Registration/Certification:
ARDMS (American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) in SPI (Physics) preferred.
Current CPR required.
Education and Training:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Associate of Applied Sciences in Ultrasound preferred.
