PURPOSE:

Support the plant site and designated Value Stream’s training system and employees. Coordi-nate and deliver onboarding, orientation, skill development and cross-training to temporary and permanent Value Stream employees. Communicate and collaborate with VS leaders to plan, coordinate, train and support line trainers and associates. Work with subject matter experts to create and maintain standard work and training materials. Prepare and deliver new, ongoing, and annual training initiatives.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordination and facilitation of new employee orientation, value stream and work station training.
  • Continuous improvement of orientation and value stream training materials and methods.
  • Coordination and completion of 30 day new employee training plans including scheduled evaluations and feedback
  • Collaboration and coordination with subject matter experts in training of employees. (Safety, Quality, Fit for Work, AMS)
  • Weekly communication and strong working relationships with VS leaders and line trainers.
  • Administrative responsibilities for scheduling training resources, updating training records and materials.
  • Prepare, coordinate and audit performance of line trainers.
  • Coordinate cross -training of existing employees.
  • Maintain and communicate training effectiveness metrics, including progress, engagement and retention of employees.
  • Support continuous improvement activities, engage and promote associate involvement.
  • Performs related duties as assigned or requested
  • Participate in sitewide training efforts led by TOD
  • Ongoing maintenance of VS training center
  • Update Standard work and work instruction documentation
Qualifications:

  • Experienced in training and/or coaching others.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Self-motivated with positive attitude and desire to serve others.
  • Understands and follows standard work, control plans and safety standards.
  • Organized, team player, good communicator, and dependable.
  • Competent communication skills; speaking, writing, and listening.
  • Demonstrate ability to work with and motivate others.
  • Safety conscious; individual must possess a passion for safety, and exhibit safety leadership qualities.
  • Quality champion; individual shows courage and commitment to standard processes.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Candidate must maintain a high level of diligence (attention to detail) and follow through.
  • Takes initiative and ownership of projects and tasks. Ensures completion with high quality.
  • Prioritize activities from multiple sources, and communicate when activities/tasks are complete.
  • Able to maintain a respectful and safe work environment.
  • Trustworthy and sensitive of confidential information.
  • Able to support a CI culture, using creativity to implement new ideas to improve training initiatives.
  • Bilingual skills and multi-cultural experience preferred.

In 2023, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
