Liberty Healthcare Corporation is hiring for a full-time Training Specialist position.

In this key role, you will help our organization’s employees obtain and maintain required credentials, knowledge and training in the best practice of residential care of people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities.

You will work closely with Liberty Healthcare’s leadership team to help ensure our direct support professionals and other staff are well-trained, professionally competent, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the development and implementation of standardized, competency-based workshops and trainings that are based on best practices in person-centered services for people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Delivering new hire orientation as well as initial and ongoing staff training in-person, via webinars, and through Liberty’s online learning platform
  • Ensuring all staff are compliant with mandated organizational, contractual and regulatory training requirements
  • Creating reports related to staff training, competency, and compliance.

As a full-time employee of Liberty Healthcare Corporation, you can expect:

  • Starting salary between $65,000 and $75,000 (depending on your experience and qualifications)

You’re a good fit for this position if you possess the following attributes:

  • Minimum of three years of professional experience in the residential care of people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental illness
  • Professional experience in training - and superior presentation skills as well as written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to work a variable schedule and travel regularly to Liberty’s locations in Poway and Ramona

Please note, if you are hired, within 6 months of employment you will be required to obtain CPR, Pro-ACT, CPI or PCMA trainer, and Adult Residential Facility (ARF) certifications.
